Introduction

Neuroscience research is central to the Los Angeles Brain and Spine Institute’s mission of bringing cutting edge care to the community setting. Since our start in the Los Angeles area in 2005 we have endeavored to bring our communities access to clinical research that can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. The institute has participated in research involving new medical devices and drugs for the treatment of brain conditions as well as clinical trials to evaluate new forms of spine surgery. We have even participated in studies funded by the prestigious National Institutes of Health.

Innovation in medicine is one of our core values and some of the Institute’s physicians have been at the forefront of their specialties, regarded as national experts. This is reflected in the work of our research institute as well. As our physicians adopt new techniques to treat diseases of the brain and spine their work and experience is published in leading medical journals, so that other physicians and their patients can benefit from our experiences.
