Minimally Invasive Procedures

Cerebral angiography

While recent technological advances have resulted in the proliferation of non-invasive vascular imaging, digital subtraction, angiography remains the gold standard for the detection of cerebrovascular disease and pre-procedural planning. Los Angeles Brain and Spine Institute physicians have performed over one thousand cerebral angiograms and are among the most experienced cerebral angiographers in the entire valley, far exceeding hospital credentialing and training standards. All examinations are performed in a state of the art angiography suite with sophisticated computers able to obtain and display 3-dimensional pictures of the blood vessels of the brain.

With 3-dimensional imaging, LABSI physicians can look at complex anatomy from all possible angles and simulate the best possible view for any anticipated procedures. Sometimes, by finding the most accurate view, 3-dimensional angiography can definitively determine whether an abnormality is present or not. Further more, most procedures are performed under monitored anesthesia care, in order to insure the greatest degree of patient comfort.
